Key 0 represents the limitless force that is the central reality of every human life. It is what we mean when we say, "I AM." Key 0 is an image of the Something in ourself which sees far beyond the seeming limitations of our present circumstances. |

That Something within makes us want to succeed.

That Something in ourself will not let us ever be alone.
Although there may be moments when we may seem to be at the end of our resources, that Something within urges us to press on.
If we have already lived many decades and coming closer to old age, that Something knows itself within us to be forever young and knocks persistently at the inner door of our mind.
The Life-Power in the very core of our being is a power that knows nothing of age, defeat, or ill health.
This power is that which has worked miracles of healing repeatedly, transformed disaster into victory, lack into abundance, and sorrow into joy.
The Fool is a picture of the limitless power of your inner, spiritual, super-conscious life.
To get more of that power into expression, we must begin by thoroughly impressing our subconsciousness with this image of that One Force.
Simple Method
A simple method is to just look at Key 0 for five minutes every morning during the week and for five minutes every evening.
Sight is a power that locks and unlocks the wallet of subconscious forces.
When we look at the details of Key 0, this simple exercise will transfer the picture from the printed Tarot Key to the cells of our brain.
Key 0 will become an integral part of our personality and our flesh and blood.
This is a great 'secret' in the practical use of Tarot.
Tarot does not exert the maximum power until we have built the Tarot Keys into ourself.
After the Tarot Keys have become integrated within ourself, they will evoke latent forces from within, and the direction of these forces will change our whole life.
We can only conceive of the the Absolute through our own experience and therefore, The Fool is drawn as a human.

Follis also means 'bellows', an instrument that uses air to stir a fire which is precisely the office of our lungs.

The Life-Power tells us what we need to know while those of us who are idly curious and superficial dabblers will be 'thrown off track'.
A clue to what Tarot means by 'Fool' is the saying: 'The wisdom of God is foolishness with men'.
History has shown that the wise men in every generation who gain knowledge of the Life-Power are often called madmen or fools by their less enlightened brothers and sisters.
Super-Consciousness
The title of Key 0 hints at a state of consciousness that psychologists term abnormal or even pathological because they do not understand completely it.
Those who comprehend the title and significance of Key 0 call this state super-consciousness or cosmic consciousness.
For us to enter into a state of cosmic consciousness is to arrive at a profound understanding of the cosmic order and simultaneously become aware of the real significance of being a human being.
This attainment is the ultimate objective of the study of Tarot.
We must not look for miracles.
Instead, if we study and practice Tarot, this will help us organize our personality forces to become a good instrument for expressing super-consciousness and exercising powers that belong to this higher level of awareness.
